Amidst growing concern about the retention of key workers in high cost metropolitan areas, this scoping project (funded by the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute) investigates evidence of housing affordability, housing choices, commuting patterns and residential moves amongst Sydney and Melbourne’s key workers to identify approaches that could support key workers to live near and access their jobs.
